Climbing in Arco

Climbing Holiday Italy, summer 2007

The climbing-area around Nago has a fantastic view at lake Garda.

View from one of the climbing area’s around Arco.

Nago hosts almost 120 routes from 4c to 7c; all are long and technical and climb the steep vertical limestone slabs.

Hungry cat in Muro dell’ Asino.

Muro dell’ Asino: a pleasant morning crag that is less polished than other crags in the region

5B++++: 6A or 6B in Nago.

The plates in Baone near Arco, Italy.

Clipping in Massone.

70m. rope necessary…..

Massone is effectively 3 separate crags within a short walking distance of each other and is the most famous crag in the region.

Ok it’s a blurred picture, but it’s still a nice action foto…

Me securing “Klaas”.

Half way up.

Between the trees; Olav.

The hardest part to come: Olav.

Heavy route; Klaas.

Get down Roedi….

Huge step! Massone.
